The assumption for the post is that she broke up with the guy. Why doesn't really matter. Lol, like most guys it's probably something he did or he wouldn't stop doing. So she dumped him. She also more than likley told him she didn't want to see or talk to him again. I can guarantee if you chase her after she breaks up she is going to see the guy as weak and needy. Women don't like weak and needy, they like strong and confident. By not chasing after her, not bowing down to her and kissing her derriiere untils it's chapped she gets the time to think about what she did. It is also doing exactly what she probably told the guy to do. AThe guy should act as if he is fine, date other girls and having a good time, even if he has to fake it. Be sensitive? Lol, good luck, we are talking about men here. Being sensitive, to a man, is showing weakness and not many are willing to do that. Besides which, a guy knows that being sensitve is going to lead the her wanting to discuss feelings and that's another area where guys fear to tread. I still say leave her alone, let her wait, have fun and don't worry about it. From my personal experience that's more likely to work than calling and begging. I’m assuming you are a female. It may actually drive her away. If she's hurt over something, it's best not to let it wait because a week or two later it may be much worse.
