Surveillance cameras are everywhere yet for all their supposed value in stopping crime, crime just keeps happening. You see it all the time on the news. Ididots getting caught on tape while robbing or attempting to rob a convenience store.
It doesn’t seemt that surveillance cameras provide much of a deterrent to crime. There is more surveillance cameras information if you want to read it. Why people buy surveillance cameras for home security is beyond my understanding.
The proof that security cameras don’t stop crime is all around us every day. Just turn your TV on and laugh at the idiots that think they are invisible. Rather than depend on surveillance cameras for home security you’d be much better off to install an alarm system that can stop crime from happening rather than just recording it while it happens.
It really makes me angry that some surveillance systems are sold with a big promise of stopping theft or stopping your house from being broken into. They won’t do that but they will do a great job of documenting the break in. Heh, you’ll always have the tape as a souvenir to show to your friends. That’s about all camera systems are good for.
I certainly wouldn’t trust my life or my families lives to a security camera. I, more often than not, tend to trust gauge to protect my house. Yep, gauge as is 12 gauge double ought buck. Nothing like the noise of pumping a shell into a shotgun to make burglars nervous. Once you’ve heard that sound you never forget it.
Relying on security cameras is foolhardy at best and deadly at worst.
