By BK Carter

Are you sick of feeling awful after you have had an anger outburst? Are you ready to get rid of that feeling of regret? If you take some or all of the steps that I’m about to describe to heart and really put them to work you should be able to control your anger outbursts and start feeling better about yourself and the rest of your life.

The first thing you need to do is train yourself to walk away. Walking away will give you some cooling off time. You will then be able to figure out if your anger is justified and whether what just happened to you will mean anything to you tomorrow. Eighty percent of the time what happened will not make a difference and you’ll be able to forgive and move on.

Once you have decided that you need to do something about the situation, you will need to decide how you are going to handle it. If you are angry because someone said you were wrong about something, find the answer. If you were wrong, then apologize for blowing up over something you were wrong about and if you were right, do not rub it in the other person’s face. Instead apologize for acting the way you did and present the correct answer in a thoughtful way without accusing the other person of being stupid or anything like that.

If you find that your outbursts usually happen when you are put in a certain situation, then you should try avoiding those situations. For example, if you are predisposed to road rage then maybe try leaving for work a half hour earlier to avoid heavy traffic. In my case, I find that I tend to be more prone to anger outbursts when I’m in large crowds so I try to avoid them at all costs. I can’t always avoid crowds, but the event better be pretty special for me to expose myself to crowds and a possible outburst.

.

One last thing you will want to try to do is have a hobby or project that you enjoy or have been putting off set aside for you if you feel yourself ready to blow up. If it’s a hobby that you enjoy you will have something to look forward to when you walk away from a situation and if it’s a project you will be able to put all of your energy into the project that you’ve been putting off for months Before you know it the project will be done and you will be so proud of the fact that you have finally accomplished it that you will hopefully have forgotten what you were angry about.

While you may not be able to use all of the tips in this article to control anger outbursts, you should be able to put one to good use in almost everything situation. Using these tips will help you with everyday instances, but there are many other steps to be taken to really get a handle on anger issues and start using your angry energy for good things. The report that is found at 7offers.com/anger-management-help really helped me deal with my anger and get back on the right track. I think it would help you out as well.

If you need some healthy anger management strategies check out the list of things you can try for managing your anger. If you have a friend who needs some anger management help you might want to show this to them. There are a lot of anger management programs out there and lots of different strategies so if these don’t work, keep trying and you will beat your bad temper.

When treating or dealing with anger issues, there are many suggestions for management strategies. Each of them is intended to help people who are hot-tempered and frequently have fits of rage.

Anger, although a healthy and normal response to upsetting situations, can be intense to the point of violence. When you experiences regular episodes of angry or reckless behavior, there’s a problem that needs to be dealt with quickly. Strategies are designed to help you return to a healthy, normal existence.

Taking a time-out is considered a healthy strategy. Removing yourself from a situation or person that makes you angry is practicing time-out. This strategy might simply require a ride in the car or a walk on the beach.

Playing sports or working out will help you use up some of the extra energy without involving others. Some other suggestions for time-out are reading, listening to music or sitting alone in silence. Each of these activities are healthy strategies.

A second example of a healthy anger management strategy is owning up to the anger. Although the anger is usually brought on by an irritating situation or a confrontation with another individual, the anger actually belongs to the troubled person.

Only the person who’s experiencing the anger issues can control their outbursts. Only the person with the anger issues can learn some new strategies and how to deal with their feelings in a healthy way.

When you become mad or upset you need to try to discover the reasons for the anger whether it is hurt, fear, frustration sadness, confusion or jealousy.

Another strategy is to look back on those situations that upset you and try to find ways to make changes. Learning the cause of the anger may help you to avoid those situations.

Not only might you learn to avoid these incidents but you might also choose to take what you’ve learned and attempt to deal with the situation without bursting into rage.

A fourth suggestion regarding management is to confront the situation or person. Talk to the person or people involved, calmly of course, to try to determine the root of the problem.

You might actually discover that the whole thing was a mix-up, a misunderstanding. You might also try asking the person or people in the situation to think about their behavior and perhaps even change it.

It may be surprising what people would be willing to do to help the person who is attempting to deal with their problems with anger. Hopefully everything will work out for the best. If not there has to be room for acceptance.

Sometimes a person must simply accept the situations and people they cannot change and either deal with it or walk away. Walking away may be hard but it’s beater than letting your anger go unchecked and suffering some harsh consequences for a moment of temper.

Learning how to manage anger should be considered a high priority for those with quick tempers or rage. There are a ton of things online for those who are attempting to deal with their temper or rage by learning healthy anger management strategies.
